Syracuse Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians

Dr. Tom Dooley Division 1, Camillus, New York

The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians [LAOH] is a National Irish Catholic charitable organization officially recognized in Omaha, Nebraska in 1894.


It was known at the time as the “Daughters of Erin”.


Its purpose is to promote Friendship, Unity, and Christian Charity among women of Irish Catholic communities.


Its members are involved in charitable works, foster the ideals and perpetuate the history and traditions of the Irish people, as well as promote Irish culture. 


The Ladies' patron saint is Saint Brigid of Kildare, Ireland.
