The CNY chapter has initiated a program of “dining and learning” to expand our knowledge of Irish history and culture. We meet at 6:30 pm on the fourth Friday of April, May, July, August, September, and October for a buffet dinner, followed by the program. The cost will be $25 for the presentation and dinner or $10 for the presentation only. The information for each meeting will be posted here. If you have a topic you would like to present to the IACI, please let us know. Check this page frequently for updated information.

On April 24, 1916 Padraig Pearce read the Proclamation of an Irish Republic declaring Ireland a free nation. Join us on August 22, 2008 to hear the story of their fight against the mightiest nation on Earth and their heroic struggle to free their native land.

Cormac O’Malley presents:
Ernie O’Malley, Irish patriot
Cormac O'Malley was born in Dublin and came to New York in 1957 when his father, Ernie O'Malley, died in Ireland. Cormac has long been interested in his father's role in Irish history in the first half of the 20th century. He has published four of his father's works and is completing one on his father’s lifetime correspondence and creative works. His latest book is "No Surrender Here”: the Civil War Papers of Ernie O'Malley, co edited with Anne Dolan, a 750 page publication providing senior military, anti-treaty, republican views on the Civil War.
Cormac and his wife, Moira, live in New York City and Connecticut and have two grown children, Bergin and Conor.
